Accommodation

  • Pelletstown is an absolutely superb agricultural holding with the benefit of an exceptionally good location fronting the Dublin / Trim Road and being 16km from Trim, 19km M50.
  • The Farm has been in the same ownership for more than 50 years and has been farmed with pride to an exceptionally high standard and is now presented to the market as a model farm.
  • Beautifully laid out in large divisions the lands are dissected by the River Tolka and each land parcel has access to a well fenced and properly surfaced farm roadway ensuring easy and safe access.
  • The entrance and a good portion of the farm roadway are fenced with stud railing and the deep running River Tolka is crossed via a concrete bridge.
  • The lands gently rise from the River Tolka and there is not an inch of waste in the entire 84 Acre farm.
  • The lands are currently producing a high quality wheat crop in some 62 acres while the balance 22 acres are under very productive permanent pasture.
  • The lands are being sold with vacant possession and the current crop will be removed at this time.
  • This farm was the stud operation of Dr Rodger Mc Carrick and was the location where the first Limousine cattle brought to Ireland dis embarked in 1973 (after quarantine on Spike Island). These initial 9 heifers became the foundation of a herd that went on to dominate the many cattle shows up and down the country for almost three decades. The late Dr Rodger Mc Carrick was a founding member of the Irish Limousine Cattle organisation and from Pelletstown his many contributions to the Limosine DNA in Ireland are the progeny of Pelletstown Racquel who was top of her breed in Suckler Beef Value in the Champion of Champions award in 2008 and Pelletstown 10 who was a very popular AI bull through the late 90’s.
  • Discreetly situated behind tall cut stone walls on the road frontage, this large complex of sheds is laid out in three main blocks and offers a flexible range of accommodation
  • suitable for many uses and in the recent past has housed up to 300 cattle and stored the necessary fodder.
  • There is both slatted and dry bedded accommodation and brown water run-off is catered for in a separate tank.
  • The sheds are further complimented by extensive concrete yards with aprons providing good access and easy turnaround for trucks and machinery.
  • The farm is as fertile as you would expect on the banks of the River Tolka, well elevated and with a great depth of free draining fertile soil, highly productive and suitable for any agricultural or equine enterprise.
  • There are no BPS entitlements with the farm.
